Meet Dr. Dean Micalizio, DC

This program has been developed through personal experience with my own weight and fitness, as well as clinical trials and in my practice of almost 20 years. The exciting thing was that everyone that has gotten involved in our program lost weight and body fat, improved their fitness, and enjoyed the changes to their lifestyle and nutrition habits.  Most have also seen dramatic improvements in their blood pressure as well as cholesterol, triglycerides and sugars.  Although loosing weight is great, without improving your fitness, you’ve achieved a hollow victory in terms of overall health.  Our ultimate goal is to see you achieve optimum health, fitness and ultimately increased longevity and quality of life.

Please accept my apology for my bluntness but Americans are the fattest they have ever been.  Statistics are showing that more than 60% of our population is overweight and that a significant portion of that population is obese.  Obesity is generally thought of as being at least 30 pounds over ideal weight, with morbidly obese being at from 50-100+ pounds overweight.  Over the years in my practice I have seen the “I just need to drop a few pounds” cry, go from 10 pounds when I first started practicing in the mid 1980’s to 30+ pounds today.  We’ve come to accept that being overweight is just part of living.  Most of us don’t like it, but we’ve come to accept it.  Everyday that we get out of the shower and seeing what looks back at us in the mirror gets us more and more discouraged.  But we really don’t know what to do.  The lifestyle habits as well that we have today were taught us by our parents, teachers and the media.  But chances are our mentors weren’t very good at achieving optimum health and fitness either.  Or in the case of the media and big business, may not have had your best interest at heart.

While there is no secret formula to achieving optimum health, fitness and longevity, and that formula may also be different from person to person, everyone needs a coach and a mentor.  Even top professionals, from athletes to business executives all use coaches and advisors to achieve top performance.  Our program promises to give you the foundation of sound, safe fitness and nutrition, as well as a viable method to chart your results and follow your progress.  Our program will also give you the variety that will fight the boredom and overtraining which sometimes accompanies heath and fitness regimens.

Guarantees are tough to come by these days.  I can’t guarantee you winning lottery numbers, a better job, or a full head of hair.  What I can guarantee is that if you follow the Tri-for-Life program to the letter, you will loose the weight, and you will loose the body fat.  You will have more energy and learn to develop a positive mental attitude.  You will feel better about yourself, and you will learn what it takes to change your life and lifestyle so that you can live a happier, healthier life and when you succeed (not if), you will now have a real sense of accomplishment.  You will also know what it will take to live the life that you were meant to lead.   Everyone loses weight and body fat at different rates so keep in mind that you must stay the course no matter how long it takes.  You are working on changing your life and lifestyle to improve your life, not just get a quick (temporary) fix.  With that in mind, as well as heart rate monitor in hand, let’s get you started on your new lifestyle…get the weight off and improve your life and fitness!
