Dear Dr Dean,

I had been overweight since my late teens.  There were many reasons, some psychological, but I mostly overate and ate the wrong foods.  My drug use at the time had also destroyed my metabolism.

Over the years my health deteriorated as my weight went up.  I tried every new fad that came along.  I would lose a little, and then gain it all back and then some more.  I was depressed, my physical health was getting worse and I had pretty much lost hope when my weight hit 270 pounds.  My frame couldn't support the weight.  My knees hurt.  My back hurt.  I had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was developing type 2 diabetes.  I thought that my life was ending.

When I found Tri for Life, they began treating me for low back pain.  He told me that if I really wanted to get rid of my pain and improve my health, I needed 'lifestyle 'change', and he told me about the Tri-for-Life program that he developed.  I was skeptical as I had tried everything and nothing had worked for me.

TFL taught me what I needed to know about how my body works and how to take care of myself.  They made it very practical and easy.  The heart rate monitors that they use keep me accountable.  The nutrition program has given  more energy and their counseling has helped me get control of my life.

It has been 3 years now.  I am now 118 pounds.  I have lost a total of 152 pounds.  I am 43 years-old.  I am sexy, and I am in control of my life for the first time.  I did the work, but without the help of Tri-for-Life I would have never been able to do this.
