Tri for Life Residential Programs

As an extension of our Lifestyle Management Programs, we have developed a comprehensive Residential Program.

 

What is the TFL Residential Program?

 

The TFL Residential program is designed for people who want a total emersion experience, where you will have the time away from your normal routine to focus on YOU.  You stay with our partner resort, the world class Ritz Carlton, and do most of your work at our facility, which is nearby.  We keep the participant numbers very low, to assure you get the attention you need, want and deserve. 

 

If you have failed at weight and health management in the past, you will not fail with Dr Dean, and you will now have the real tools that you need to survive and thrive.  The Residential program is a total experience.  Everything from the basics of heart rate based training, to nutrition, grocery shopping and restaurant survival. We analyze your present health conditions through physical examination, lab and other diagnostic studies, to assure that our program meets YOUR needs.

 

How Long are the Programs

 

We have designed the Residential Programs for different lengths of stay, ranging from 1 week to 2 months.  It all depends on on you.  We also know that weight, health and lifestyle challenges can run within families, and have designed special programs to cater to the needs of a family in a lifestyle crisis.

 

Accommodations

 

Commensurate with the world class program that Tri for Life is, we have partnered with a world class hotel.  You will be staying in total luxury at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, which is included in your Tri for Life tuition.  We couldn't think of a better place in which to pamper yourself while you learn your new lifestyle.  Click here for the Ritz Carlton/Phoenix, web site.

 

What to Expect

 

After a brief ride from the airport to the Ritz Carlton, you will be checked in and escorted to your room.  Once in there you will open your Tri for Life introductory kit.  You will find your Polar Heart Rate Monitor, and food journal, Tri for Life text book, among other goodies.  After a good night's rest, your typical week will go like this:

 

                   Day 1

  • Healthy breakfast at the Ritz

  • Shuttle to Tri for Life Center

  • In depth examination/consultation/evaluation to evaluate exactly where you are physically and mentally

  • Set up heart rate monitor

  • Cardiovascular evaluation

  • Nutrition consultation

  • Lunch at Ritz

  • Cardio session

  • Homework assignment

  • Shuttle to the Ritz Carlton

  • Healthy breakfast

  • Morning swim or Yoga

  • Shuttle to Tri for Life

  • Review of homework assignment

  • Cardio

  • Lunch at Ritz

  • Introduction to resistance training

  • Cardio

  • Morning swim or Yoga

  • Shuttle to Tri for Life

  • Review nutrition journal

  • Introduction to plyometrics

  • Lunch at Ritz

  • Therapy session to discuss nutrition habits and food attitude

  • Cardio cross training

  • Homework assignment

  • Return to St. Regis

  • Unwind with massage therapy in room

  • Grocery Field Trip

  • 'Successfully eating out'

  • 'Week in Review'.  Discuss attitudes, evaluate progress.  Make a plan for returning to 'real life'

  • Cardio cross training

  • Return to hotel

  • Relax with massage therapy

Follow up and Follow Through

 

Once you become part of the Tri for Life family, we don't just drop you back into real life.  For the next 3 months after your stay with us you will have weekly progress meetings with Dr. Dean via Skype.  He will analyze your progress, challenges, exercise and nutrition, as well as address any concerns you may be having as you transition.  As Dr. Dean tells every patient, "We are more dedicated to your health than you are"!

Rates are per person, and are subject to change.  Ask about special family rates.

 

Insurance reimbursement:  Many insurance plans will cover a portion of your care with us

IRS tax deduction:  Depending on your situation, you may be able to deduct part or all of the program from your income taxes

Financing:  We offer finance options that will make your lifestyle change affordable.
